Cigarette Magazine Issue 3

Wesley Eisold's Cigarette Magazine Issue 3 continues the series as a visual archive of subcultures that rarely shared space but always shared a spirit. It collects fragments from scenes that too often passed each other by: punks, goths, mods, hardcore kids, and others who lived on the edges. Every page is a kind of daydream. This issue brings them together in one imagined document.

Cigarette explores the connections that never quite happened but feel like they could have. A parallel history told through manipulated, photocopied textures, altered flyers, faded fashion ads, mixtape inserts, and cut and paste longing. It is a visual narrative built from club nights, basement shows, mailorder catalogs, and unsent letters that might have existed in the margins of a different past.

Skins on ecstasy. Spacemen 3 and Wrecking Crew on the same bill. Television Personalities with V.O.D. It is less about historical accuracy and more about the emotional truth of being obsessed with sound, style and the strange connections they spark. Cigarette Issue 3 is a tribute to the worlds we build in our heads when we live inside music.
